HOW TO GET THE MOST
OUT OF ACUPUNCTURE
-It can take one or many sessions to begin to feel the effects of the treatment. This is a very individual experience.
-It is not necessary to discontinue your medications to try acupuncture. You may find that you require less pain medication than you usually need. After several weeks, you may require lower doses of your other medications as your body comes into better balance. At that time, you can check with your physician to decide how to modify or discontinue your medications as needed.
-Please wear comfortable, loose clothes to allow access to your elbows and knees. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket, as it is common to feel relaxed and cooler after an acupuncture treatment.
-Don’t come thirsty, hungry, with overly full stomach or rushed to a treatment.
